my expectation was to go to jamaica and find some healing , my smile… but i what i found was the birthplace of my visual literacy and love of photography .. all i wanted to do was grab a map and go get lost in various directions.. to get out of the car and walk.. talk to people. creating a ton of memories , and connections
for a time after this first solo trip i thought had to go back there to do photography..i thought it was dependent on this place so i went again and again many times a year for years… it is were my visual literacy grew … it is the birthplace of my connection and love of photography..
i will forever be grateful and indebted to jamaica for giving me one of my greatest loves.
